This is me.
This is me, Em Nugent. This is my learning diary for my studies on the Masters in Online and Distance Education with the Open University. I live in Leicestershire in the UK but originate from west Wales but grew up in Herefordshire and Shropshire in England.
I am an e-Learning Consultant at Warwick Business School and have been in post since March 2008. I support the provision of online learning and administration on the MBA programme for over 3000 distance learners, and 100s of full time and executive MBA students.
My past experience is in programme and project administration in Higher Education in the UK, including at the Univerities of Open, Warwick , Oxford Brookes , Oxford and Wolverhampton. I have worked in marketing, schools of education, staff development and now in a Business School. My academic background is in Business Studies, having done my first degree in Business Admin with Marketing, then went on to do a PG Certificate and PG Diploma in Management, and have the NVQ level 4 in Management as well. I decided not to pursue a Masters in Business since my move into e-learning development.
I am mum to Livvy, born July 2007, and have a very understanding husband while I am work almost full time and study. I hope to finish the Masters by Autum 2010 so I can get my life back (if it still exists then!)
