About me

This is me, Emma Nugent, but like to be called Em. I live in Leicestershire in the UK but originate from West Wales but grew up in Herefordshire and Shropshire in England.

I have been an e-Learning Consultant at Warwick Business School since March 2008. I support the provision of online learning on one of the UK’s leading distance learning MBA programme with over over 300 new students per year,  as well as the MBA for the Global Energy Industry, corporate programmes and the Executive MBA.

My passion is for enhancing distance learners experience through the use of technology, in particular I aim to be expert in online learning communities and e-tutors.

My past experience is in programme and project administration in Higher Education in the UK, including at the Univerities of Open, Warwick , Oxford Brookes , Oxford and Wolverhampton. I have worked in marketing, 2 schools of education, staff development and now in a business school. My academic background is in Business Studies, having done my first degree in Business Admin with Marketing, then went on to do a PG Certificate and PG Diploma in Management, and have the NVQ level 4 in Management as well. I decided not to pursue a Masters in Business since my move into e-learning development ad instead completed the MA in Online and Distance Education with the Open University in 2010.
